Help with A/C
Ok just purchased a 92 z28 with a 305. Now in purchasing it i was told/noticed that it had a new compressor on it. I asked the guy if the air worked he said just needs recharged. But before i put money into the coolant I want a second opinion... When you do turn the air on the clutch in the compressor doesnt engage at all? In the truck i own if there is no freon it just comes on then goes back off... could there be something else wrong with it besides freon? or is that normal ... thanks

I'm no A/C expert, but I believe the clutch will not engage without the system being pressurized.
