Installing new A/C and heat?
sorry i dont know if this is the right board but i saw cooling so i figured it might be. anyways i have a 87 Iroc z when i bought it the a/c and heat do not work. it was heavily modified by the previous owner so i have a feeling he took it out. can anyone give me a idea of how much it would cost to put a/c and heat back in. i would not be doing this myself by the way i would be paying a mechanic. thanks guys

No heat or AC so it might have been a track only car.
A standard repair shop might have problems obtaining items such as brackets and related hardware, but no problems obtaining compressors, heater cores, etc.
If you don’t know if the heater core, evaporator, etc., are still there, a best case scenario is $600 if most parts are still there.
If most parts were removed figure on $1800.

yeah the guy that owned it before me had put alot on it and taken out alot like emissions equip and i guess the a/c and heat too for more power. thanks for the help, i appreciate it.
