Camaro runs hot.
I have a 1985 IROC that i put a 1989 Corvette L98 350 in. It has a mild cam and new aluminum radiator, aluminum high flow water pump, 180 high flow thermostat, new 24# injectors and new ignition parts (coil, rotor, plugs, wires). I have the cold start injector blocked off and the egr blocked off. I have a new custom computer chip also. I have the fans (a 12"pusher and a 16" s blade puller fan) set to run as soon as the ignition is on. I have been having heating problems for awhile. I also put on a new airdam. I drive down the road and it runs at about 195, but if I pull a hill or let it get up to 220 it just wants to keep climbing. I had it idleing in my driveway and it went up to 235 with the fans running the whole time. Also when it gets to 230 it runs rough and wants to die. If it does die it will not start until it cools down. And then it will run fine until it gets hot again. It really acts like a fuel problem, but I have changed the fuel pump to a edelbrock unit from JEGS. The only thing I haven't changed is the ESC module. I am changing that tomorrow to see if that helps. It has the original 305 one and I am using the Corvette distributor. If anyone has any ideas to make this car driveable over 40 miles they would be appreciated.

Wierd, no collant loss? sounds like your low on coolant. Do you have a thermostat in there? Maybe its as simple as a bad radiator cap? when its over heating do your radiator hoses collaps?

Re: Camaro runs hot.
I didn't want to check the head gaskets, but that is what I am left with I guess. Thanks for the reply.
