air conditioning problems

Engine: chevy create 5.7 350
Transmission: 700-R4
air conditioning problems
ok guy so i bought a new compressor becuase i thought mine had gone out. i changed the orifice tube filter and vacd all the air out then started to re-charge my air. so i put about 12oz in and the compressor engages but dosent cycle and my pressure in the line is in the red only on one can of r134. can anyone tell me whats going on with my ac system.
