88 Iroc-Z getting too hot

Hi,

I have an 88 Z with the 350TPI with daul fans that have been hardwired to come on when the ign switch is in the ON position. (i didnt do it that way, but i havent been able to wire them to a manual switch yet.)

The car had a brand new 195* tstat in it, and it was fine until recently when it started getting to about 100*+ outside. Normally it would be around 180-200* but now it will get to 220-250* apprx. I put in a 180* (I had planned to anyways) and still have the same problem. It takes longer to warm up, but still gets too hot.

I have read where some people have these cars have an airdam, im not positive if mine does or not. I see a black plastic piece that is under the front lip, but im not sure if thats it. I know not having it can cause overheating though.

Im not positive of the coolant mixture, but i think its got more water than coolant. I know it isnt 50-50, it may be 70-30 (water-coolant), but may be even less coolant than that. I really dont know

I know there is no air in the system, i have bled it properly with no avail.

I have never seen any steam/smoke or anything like that. There are no leaks, and im not burning any coolant.

Anybody have any ideas? I really would appreciate the help, it has been 100*+ for about 2 weeks, and with no signs of backing off anytime soon... Im nervous driving my car for more than about 20min or so because it gets too warm.

Thanks
