Plug for fan switch completely stripped...options?

My heads came with a plug in the port where the fan switch goes. Unfortunately, it is completely stripped out. It will be in there forever. Are there ANY good options for somehow wiring the fans without the switch in that location? I have a 1991, so dual fans. Please help!

I want to get that thing out so bad, it looks hideous. But I can't see any possible way, couldn't really get a drill down there to drill it out, even if that was a good idea.

pull the manifold off and weld a nut to it. the heat will loosen it and should come right out.

That is a lot of work (having to remove head) but it sounds like a plan. I guess there is no way to get it out while the head is still installed? No chance an easy out would work?

If getting it out ain't gonna happen, you can use an aftermarket switch with a radiator probe or find another port on the manifold to screw one into.

The plug was steel. Thankfully we were able to weld a large nut to it (had to keep moving up in sizes until it finally worked) and it came out, but not easily! It still took quite a bit of force. Thanks for the suggestions!
