coolant puddle on kick panel?

I noticed that I had a small wet spot on the passenger side carpet. so I pulled the kick panel out and there was puddle of coolant on it. What's leaking in the dash to cause this? I have a/c but never use it

Heater core. There are a lot of threads detailing how to replace it.

Re: coolant puddle on kick panel?

My bet is on the heatercore. The connections get beat up going through the firewall and crack where they meet the core. That's where mine went bad anyway.
