90 camaro rs 305 tbi overheating
Just got my first third gen a few days ago, love it, but can't drive for more than 20 minutes, and then the water is boiling hot. This is averaging at 45mph with barely any stops. The car has no air dam, but I'm not sure if it makes that big of an impact. I replaced the radiator hoses, new thermostat. Then I noticed the fan doesn't kick on on its own, but it will right away when I turn the ac or heat on, is this normal? Any help is appreciated.

You need the air dam, and the fact the fan comes on when you turn on the AC as it's supposed to do means the fan and relay are good. Likely problem is a failed fan switch located in the passenger side head. Do a search for fan switch on this board and you'll get tons of good info. Have fun!
