Stewart water pump or O'Reilly's???big difference...??
So I got my 84 z28 and I am in the process ofreplacing my water pump but I was wondering on whether or not i shjo9uld invest some money on a stewart water pump or just buy a standard Oreilly's pump??I know that stewart is made in the USA and the other ones are overseas, but is it really worth the extra $50???
My engine is pretty much stock for now but I am planning on doing more mods in the future...
also as for my radiator is it also worth upgrading to a 3-core???same thing what the main difference with a stock one to a 2 or 3 core....thanks!

well worth the extra ~$50 to get a U.S. water pump instead of a cheap
chinese one
stock '84 v8 thirds came originally with aluminum core
radiators with single row of coolant tubes the same thickness of the core,
the thickness, core size, and fin density varying with engine and options.
most '82s had copper/brass radiators of 2or 3 row depending on engine.
If radiator faulty or damaged, might as well upgrade to a bigger one.

hmmm....ok becuase I am pretty much convinced with stewart and wil most likely order one soon and as for the radiator i checked it out and it looks really good......but what would be a good upgrade as for the radiator....and PS--I am not looking to spend $500 on a radiator either im on a budget. I am looking for in the vicinity of $100-$150 tops for a radiator upgrade. thanks!

for $100-150,probably have to go with a stock type radiator-the radiators
for the later thirdgens that use electric fans have a thicker core and
greater fin density than the earlier LG4 thirds-could use one of those
instead of exact early LG4 style.About 6yrs ago,i bought a "Northern"
radiator(~$300 IIRC)to use in my car,but i discovered modifications would
be needed so the install has been delayed a few years-it's a nice thick
all aluminum 2-row made in the USA;might get it in this year

check out these radiators from champion all aluminum and 3 rows. I have one for a couple of years now and no complaints and it drops right in.
