CVR Electric Water Pumps
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CVS-7550/
I've done a bit of searching but find nothing. Never heard or seen them before but apparently they have a billet impeller, stainless shaft, and carbon ceramic seal and claim a 10,000 hour life. They also have a few other features I guess they can be remote mounted and the input can switch side to side.
There a little cheaper than a Meziere at $319, but if you look the Summit Racing pump is the same pump at $279. You can even get a kit with the "Summit" version and a painless relay/harness for $315.
So, has anyone used one?

I would also like to know, which Meziere are you looking at? The CVR looks tempting for the price though.

I dodnt remember which model it was. It was the cheapest one offered on Summit at $319.
A 10,000 hour life is pretty impressive most I see are around 2500 hour.

Yeah I know in the LT-1 & LSx World Meziere pumps are proven to be pretty damn reliable and the few that had issue's have had great support from meziere. Thats why I would rather buy one from them, I have one of their EWPs for the GTO that I need to install when my deployment is over.

Re: CVR Electric Water Pumps
They free up HP by removing the strain of having to spin the water pump and using the engine's energy to pump coolant. I know most LS1/2 GTO's will pick up around 10 rwhp & 10 rwtq by going to the Meziere pump. My friend Jesse has a CSR pump on his Firebird and has had it since 2009 and it has not caused any problems.

This is the pump I am looking at right now. Mainly because it is a 55GPM model and over on yellow bullet. LS1tech & LS1GTO Meziere has a great reputation.

Re: CVR Electric Water Pumps
Thats the other thing the CVR proflo's are 55gpm and the Meziere 100 is 35 which the 100 is what I would get if I went Meziere. I just want to know somebody has used these pumps before, they claim alot and the price is reasonable but not so cheap that its probably just all around junk.
I dont need a pump for a while I'm still working on getting the car rolling again so hopefully I find something out by then, if not then its Meziere.

Re: CVR Electric Water Pumps
I had 2 csr pumps. No real issues with cooling but one failed well short of 2500 hrs. More like 500 hrs. Another i had failed due to corrosion which was my fault. I went back to conventional. Just not worth the headache.
If you buy one you almost have to buy the 550 buck March performance accessory bracket kit just to get it to work in these cars. Not sure how else you can do it. I didnt find any other way
