An odd duck that needs to be cooled.

Okay so about 2 months ago i "accidentally" blew up my 2.8 Camaro rs. Well, me and my dad decided to swap the 2.8 standard to a 305 carb/headers/ exhaust system/ automatic. So that was all fun and hell, but were pretty much done now. pretty sweet. feels powerful to me. but we have this issue that the (what i think) is the thermostat is not opening. i think this is because there is very little water in the top hose. maybe, maybe not. i was just thinking maybe someone else knew a little bit about this. oh, and is there anyway to trip the fan to run all the time?

Pull the rad cap off start your engine and look into the rad. If the water is moving around then its your t-stat if its not moving water pump. Make sure youre completely full of coolant. Yes you can qire direct power to your fan. Install a switch in the car if you want.

You never said why you think the thermsostat isn't opening. Is the car overheating? How did you determine there is "very little water in the top hose?"

When you open your radiator cap, is the radiator full?
