Axle/Gears: Borg Warner 9-Bolt 3.27
Air only coming out of defrost the same for digital a/c?
I have a 87 Trans Am GTA with the digital a/c controls. Never blew cold air, but always used to get air from the vents, now it only blows through defrost. Has been like this some time but haven't worried about it since the car was down.
I've read about the vacuum control valve but I don't believe I have that. What would be my next option? Any others with digital a/c had the same problem?
I checked the vacuum line coming from the passenger firewall going to the heater control valve and it was fine. It used to suck air, but now it gets nothing at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine did the same thing..stuck vaccuum check valve. Might be worth checking out.

Replaced that awhile back. Swapped in a engine from a 91 Z28, and now it seems I only get air from the defrost and the floor?

IIRC when the HVAC system malfunctions it goes into the default mode and blows out the defrost vents.
Check the vaccuum source line/check valve or behind the controls.
