where are low side high side a/c ports

where are low side high side a/c ports

Can anyone help me what one is the low side and high side port on a 1985 trans am with a 305 carb. engine? If you need a pic I could post post one, Thank you very much

I'm assuming the A/C setup is the same for carbs as it is for TPI. Anyways, the low side port will be the larger port that is on the accumulator (silver cylinder).....The high side port will be the small port that is attached to the line.

If you're measuring the pressure, make sure the engine is off when you attach the lines. If you're adding refrigerant, make sure you ONLY use the low side port. Adding to the high side port will make the can of refrigerant explode.
