AC fan issue

Compressor, hi and lo switch, diode plug in at comp coil, silver can (can't remember what ya call it) new freon added by professional installer today to try and get AC working in 87 roc.
Issue-when you turn on AC nothing works, run a ground strap from negative on battery and it cycle on and off for 1/2 doz times then you can remove ground strap and it runs fine, turn it off and repeat, once it worked with no help from strap, then another weird thing, blower and comp would work and left fan would shut off, left fan would come on and comp and blower will quit...any help would be appreciated, stumped at moment.

Re: AC fan issue

Run strap to ground to blower ground should have made that more clear.
