Step 1 on my restoration!

Just ordered a bunch of parts! This is step 1 of my restoration process for my 86' Z. This is what I purchased:

- ACDelco 15lb rad cap
- Fel-Pro water neck gasket
- Goodyear 61196 lower hose
- Goodyear 61331 upper hose
- Stant Superstat 195* tsat
- Spectra CU951 rad

The rad was the best I can do right now. I'm sure it will be fine.

Now, when they all come in and once it's together, what kind of coolant should I run? I'm getting it locally.

Re: Step 1 on my restoration!

Everything worked out great. I went ahead and did the "extra flow mod" and drilled four small holes symmetrically around the tstat. I also went and purchased some distilled water and PEAK green concentrate and mixed it 50/50. Runs perfectly now.

Had one code after all said and done, 23, ended up being a faulty plug for the MAT sensor. Got the pigtail and spliced it in this morning, everything is tip-top now.
