Thermostat replacement / Therm Housing is leaking (pics)
Camaro 92 RS v6 3.1
so i been wanting to replace me thermostat because my car is getting to the 220/225 mark and its overheating coolant boiling back into the reserve tank.
Then after work yesterday after open hood, to find where it is at and all i saw it leaking coolant out of it... :/
I have the haynes repair manual etc so i know how to do all this.
but im wondering best way to take it off etc. will i need take all that stuff above it off? air intake and all that? or can i remove those 2 hoses infront of it, not the one connect to the housing. and be able to reach it easy?
or do i need take whole top half of engine off?

Thanks gotten it all off and ready to take therm housing off and replace thermostat / gasket and all that. Does the throttle body have a gasket between it and the intake manifold because something like this fell apart after taking throttle body off? let me know so i can pick one up if it needs it

Yes, you will need a new tb to plenum gasket. When you are done run the engine with the radiator cap off until you see coolant flow. the upper radiator hose will be warm when the t stat open. Top off the coolant and install the cap. This will bleed out the air out of the engine block.
