Newbie here

Bought an 88 convertible iroc z a few months ago... Love the car.. Recently seperated the cooling fans from the car making them independent using relays, etc to make sure they turned on at the appropriate time... My question is that I just turned the ac on today and the compressor kicks on but no air whatsoever from the ducts inside the car... Could this be fuse related? and if so which fuse would it be?? I briefly checked the color fuses under the dash but none were blown... any other area or fuse in specific i should be looking at? Any help would be appreciated....

Re: Newbie here

By "no air" do you mean no air flow or no cold air? I'm taking it as no air flow and that could be the switch on the hvac controls, the blower control module/resistor, or the blower motor itself. However if you can hear the blower motor running and the switch changes the speed on all settings, then something is plugged up the vent.

Re: Newbie here

Thanks for the quick reply... There is no air whatsoever. Not cold nor hot. I see the ac compressor come on but no airflow at all. This just happened today as I was running my ac yesterday. It was about 91 today in Orlando so that was pretty bad. Lol.

Using a fused jumper wire, apply power directly to the blower + terminal.

Did the blower run?

If yes use a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) to probe the blower relay pin A red wire.

It doesn’t matter what position the ignition key is in.

Is there power on the
red wire?

If yes, jump pin A
red wire to pin E purple wire.

Did the blower run?

Happy Racing!
