heater problems 92 rs

Im hoping someone can help me. I have a 92 camaro rs v-6. I have no heat it only blows kinda warm. I pulled the dash out and replaced the heater core. it was bad. it seem to blow hot but then the first cold snap came and no heat. just cool to warm.. I have bypassed the heater valve down on the engine. So the only thing I can figure out is the heater core isnt getting proper flow to it so it may be the radiator or the thermostat.. I dont know Im hoping that someone has had the same problem and can help me.. its driving me crazy..

did you ,by any chance buy a aluminum heater core replacement? i find they just dont compare well to the brass/copper original ones.they just dont seem to make as much heat .i got one for my camaro and was not happy with its output.so i had my original one repaired at a rad shop and re installed it. all things being equal, the original core makes WAY more heat than does the aluminum one. i suspect it has to do with why a aluminum rad is better at ridding itself of heat.also its easy to get it wrong, especially if youre NOT thin and in your 20s!! i would go over your install again make sure all of the doors work .make sure the temp cable is adjusted correctly too. good luck, and let us know the out come

Assuming you drained the cooling system when you changed the core, did you make sure the heat was on hot when you re-serviced the coolant? If you didn't, you may have an air pocket in the core and you're not gonna get anything out of it until you purge and service it correctly.
