Iroc dual fan wire assistance..
Well to my fellow 3rd gen Rollers, I need a little help.. My single fan on my 91' Rs fried itself after I removed my smog pump, so I'm updating to an iroc dual fan and I'm wondering if anyone has done this previously and could give me some sorta outline as to gettin the swap done.. Thanks everyone for ur input and advice

Re: Iroc dual fan wire assistance..
first thing you need to do is determine whether or not your wiring harness has the capability for dual fans, even if they were not stock... if not, you will be doing all of the wiring... if you do it to "work as advertised" by design, that's a bit of work to do... if you choose to do it with just manual switches, that's a bit easier.
you already have wiring for one, but will obviously have to power the other, so you need to know how you want to do that. by design, dual fans are not controlled by the same circuit and don't always run at the same time - certain conditions have to be met. with all that said, keep in mind that the secondary fan is ecm controlled (remember i said certain conditions have to be met) so i'm not sure if your ecm (chip) is programmed for such...
there's probly a few folks on here that have done it and can get you there from here, so i'll step aside on that note. my point is that you'll probly need to do some creative wiring to do it, but certainly not insurmountable...

If your single fan was using the switch in the head than heres a option for you. Run a large single fan and make it adjustable. This for any one interested in a simple yet very effective means of converting/installing a fan and making it a "adjustable" using the stock ground wire going to the switch in the head.
Install one of these(You will only be using the adjustable fan controller in the package.) The install is under $20.00 and 10 minutes of your time.

One of the easiest ways I have seen to wire one of these in( diagram below ) is to simply take off the wire that goes to the switch in the head and ground it to the car. Than just cut that same wire (let’s say in the middle) and install the thermostat controlled switch in-between those same cut wires. Run the probe to the radiator, set the dial to where you want it and you're done. Anyone that has a switch in the head can use this method and have an adjustable fan.(The proper thermostat will be determined by what temp you want your fan to run at.)
If you want to know how to set the fan temp switch quickly then just ask.
Side note =Running a toggle controlled fan is something that really should be used in an emergence. Not as a primary "on" "off" switch. ". The simple technique mentioned above if not, should be one of the most desirable single fan set ups available. A fan that you have total control of setting/changing/using it to lower the cars running temp.,etc.
