AC stays on even when switched to Vent

This is recent to my GTA the last couple summers and just started out of the blue. My AC seems to continue running even when I move the slider over to Vent.

Is this an issue with the contacts in side perhaps? Do I need to remove it from the radio pod, disassemble, and hit it with some contact cleaner?

Anyone else have this issue?

Bump. I'm ready to revisit this issue before spring.

It will definitely be in your head unit.. the mode selector has a rotary switch laid horizontal that bridges ac clutch connections in certain modes. sounds like either the contacts fused or melted. Pull the head unit, and run a continuity test between pin 1(lt grn) and 2(brown). In MAX, NORM, and DEF, should have 0.0 ohms. In all other modes, should be open (0.L)
