Radiator Fan not working
Radiator Fan not working
I have read a lot on this forum but could not find my issue. I have a 85 camaro that been upgraded to a 5.7 TBI engine, (the work was not done by me so I do not know much about the mods).
My issue is that my son decided to wash the engine about 3 weeks ago and after he did we found that electric fan did not come on at all and would over heat and the check engine light is on solid, not flashing. I have tried to read the error code but when I connect pins A & B nothing happens. Tried unplugging the battery for awhile the if that do anything, but nothing. Everything else with the car seems to be working fine.
I've checked all sensors and leads everything checks out good and is dry. Replaced the fan relay and tested, it's working when you ground out the brown wire terminal on the relay.
I'm exhausted trying to figure this out and i'm out of ideas, any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Under Pressure
I hope he didn’t use a pressure washer.
Therefore check to see if the wire going to the temp sensor is still connected.
It’s located on the front of the intake above the water pump most VINS.
There are some unknowns due to the swap by another party.
Due to the fact you car is modified that might cause the AB test at the ALDL to no longer work.
We don’t know what he did with the ECM.
