Name of this part and where to buy?

Broke this part off while trying to install a flush tee. Anybody know the name and where I can buy a new one?

back in those days the water pump pressure went to this valve then the return from the heater core entered the intake manifold at the rear.

could be hard part to get.

Its $20. And available at O'reillys, Auto Zone, Advance

Got one on my 88 5.7 TPI

Last time I had this type heater flow valve issue was in my 1972 buick skylark 350CU... my 1984 camaro don't have one .

Yup, lots of these cars had one of those... and lots also didn't. It can be argued that it's not needed. However it does help the A/C cool a bit better on really hot days, so, not an entirely bad thing to have.

I have a heater valve from years ago that I never used I might try it to see if the air box cools better in the hot weather. I have a control valve that closes on vacuum to the head , hook up vacuum to it from the ac vacuum ball that way it will stay closed then see how much better the cooling is.
