Just for starters .....don't try to run both fans on one circuit. That means no splicing in.
Its late so that's all I have for now.

Yes, you can simply trigger the relay by running the other relay's coil ground (The one activated by the ECM) to the other one, that will trigger them both at the same time (ECM controlled, and the other way around temp switch controlled in case the ECM for some reason fails to control it) This way both relays still have their own 12V coil feed (low amps) and the stock high amp battery feeds.

You could also leave the ECM controlled fan alone still set at 222* as back up and change the fan switch in the head to a lower temp. than the stock setting of 230* or so. Lets say a 204* "on" switch.
That would make your secondary fan the primary and bring your temperatures down a bit.
The stock 195* Thermostat can be used.
Here's the part #s and fan “on” temperatures.
Part # TFS8 = 204 on
# TFS4 = 213 on
# TFS1 = 224 on
That means just replace the switch in the head with the one suggested and your done.
I still prefer a lower running temperature but the only way I have found to do it is to put my fan on an adjustable ,temp. controlled fan switch with 180* thermostat.
