Gonna do a flush, here's my procedure, any good chems out there?

I'm going to remove thermostat, remove lower hose, then drain, take a hose flush block then radiator it till clear, replace hose and thermostat housing with no t-stat, install flush chemical and fill with water. Start engine, turn on defrost so fan runs for 15 minutes or so, drain & blow air through system to get everything out, then replace t-stat, new hoses, water pump. Best way to flush I can think of, however if there are others please let me know.
Also, the water pumps I've priced are called heavy duty, is that the same as high volume and I also hear aluminum one's are better, any ideas?
