Re: Blower motor issue

GM fits taller squirrel cage fans on cars equipped with AC. I don't know if this is because the non-AC cars have shorter boxes or if they want AC equipped cars to move more air through the ducts.

If you already have AC in your car your fan is pretty much moving as much air as it can. I'd check to see if your AC box is full of leaves and other debris.

Inspect the blower motor wiring; make sure there's no sketch or otherwise melted connections. Maybe an upgrade in wiring might help (?)

Take the motor out of a Taurus radiator fan and fit it to the HVAC fan?

good question..

I used autozone.com and both blow motors are different, BUT the motors might be similar....maybe can use a later model and swap it to yours. It would require a trip to the parts store to hold both in your hand and see if its doable..

but I'm with you, my 3rd gen doesn't blow hard enough (giggity giggity)
