A/C Sensor Bench Testing..

I have a 92 with a 305 and have just replaced the entire A/C system. However before charging the system I'd like to test two the last two systems sensors.

1. The first sensor is located on the compressor and has what looks to be a white (actually discolored off white) two pin plastic connector base. It's referred to as a "Compressor Mounted High Cut-Out Pressure Switch" 4-Seasons number 35974. Picture attached.

2. The second sensor is referred to as a "Condenser Fan Switch". It's located on the high pressure aluminum liquid line running from the condenser to the evaporator. It screws onto the line via a schrader valve. Also a two pin connector.

Can these sensors be bench tested? If so how?

I've attached a couple of pictures...

Any information would be much appreciated

.

Thanks,
Ron

Re: A/C Sensor Bench Testing..

You could test then with air pressure but the challenge is a jig to test then with. For how cheap they are I would just buy new ones...
