Something went wrong with my cooling fans, which I haven't tracked down yet. Causing the car to overheat while sitting, and blowing the radiator.

Do I need to worry about coolant having gotten mixed in with the transmission fluid?

Probably not. I'm assuming by "blowing the radiator" you mean it boiled over, but even if it cracked its unlikely to have damaged the cooler lines inside. Just pull the tranny dipstick and it's nice and red and not frothy you are good.

Not sure what you mean by "blowing the radiator," but unless it literally exploded due to a crash or some other physical damage, splitting the core and frame, the trans cooler section was probably unaffected. It's easy enough to check---pull the trans dipstick and have a look. If the trans fluid proves to be contaminated, it's not a big deal to drop the tranny pan and replace the fluid and filter.

Do you think it damaged the transmission cooler section, allowing the fluids to mix?

Those plastic end tanks on the stock radiators are total crap. I lost count of how many I've gone through. Take the car to the shop and they just pop on a new plastic tank and it will go a couple three years and crack again. I have decided that next time I have a cracked tank, I'm going with a full replacement aluminum radiator. Phooey on that plastic s**t.

Oh, it is unlikely your auto tranny cooler was damaged. Regardless, check the oil in the tranny to see. Should look like cherry syrup on a snow cone. If it is milky or foamy or dark brown, time for a change.
