Do I have to drain all the antifreeze from the cooling system to attach the 3/4 5/8 hose from water pump to engine block? Please don't me hate for asking a stupid question I just need to know if I can do this without draining the entire system.

You don’t have to drain the whole system but you should bleed out the air after you connect the two hoses.
