HOW TO: Flush the coolant system???
Hello again
Im trying to get my car titled and plated tomorrow and I need to flush my cooling system after that TB heater hose blew
....I need to flush it because the the guy who owned the car before me tried putting stop leak in it to try and repair the heater core.....needless to say he failed and we ended up bypassing the heater core.....I bought a flush tee and 2 gallons of antifreeze......I was thinkin of hooking up the tee to where the heater core would be....but I really have no clue how to flush a system......any guides or ideas?

Thats where the tee goes on the heater hose, most of the flush kits come with a diagram.

Why bother with the T? Pull the thermostat since you're going to replace it anyway and have some fun.

Well, you need the Tee and the adapater to get the hose on there. Hopefully you have the adapater...

i did the wet way.. just pop off both hoses from the radiator and shove a water hose in the upper rad. hose, then let her flow.. then after you finish that, rad. cap off and hose goes in there to flush that out.. gets a bit wet so wear your speedo..

Yea, I never knew there was a kit for this... That's like an "oil changing kit". Just get'er done! I would remove the t-stat the coolant jacket plugs in the block and let 'er go. I also used drain ***** instead of plugs, so that's easier. Then also flush out the rad, and the heater core, and you're done.
