Hey everyone, I was driving to work today and noticed some steam coming from the hood. I checked it out and it looks like there is coolant dripping onto the top of the engine. It’s a 92 305 with around 120k on it. Looks like it’s coming from where the radiator hose/ gasket connects to the engine? Could really see too well. Anyone else have coolant leak in a similar spot? Let me know if more pictures are needed! Thanks in advance.

That spot is your thermostat housing and gasket. By the look of the photo it could be coming from that. Some folks (such as myself) also experience issues with the intake manifold gasket going. That wouldn't typically pool up on top of the manifold though. A new stat and gasket is a good idea for any tune up, and will cost about $7. Also inspect your radiator line too.

Picture tells the tale.

You photographed your thermostat neck. Leak is probably from the thermostat gasket or the hose right there.

Inspect hose/clamp tightness, if good replace thermostat gasket (and thermostat while you are there!)

And while you are at it I would recommend replacing the belt! That looks really spongy...
