Any full cooling flow diagrams out there?

Hi, first post, so bare with me...
I've swapped an '87 350TPI /700r4 into a 2nd gen TransAm, and needing a bit of a pointer as to the cooling/heating system.

I've spent a couple of days going through the forum, and Google, but still a bit unsure.
I've deleted all the AC and EGR, and want to keep it as clean as possible.

I've a new 4 core 2nd gen Rad, which only has 2 ports (plus an overflow, and 2 for the trans cooler) , so haven't got the 3rd ,which is where the 3rd gen heater hose flows back to.

Is it possible, to pull a feed off the top of the water pump, feed to the oil cooler/heater (oil filter), then to the heater, then back to the inlet? Or will that lead to issues?

I know I'm probably a decade late with the swap, but in Scotland, so can only do what I can do...
Cheers

You can connect the line that went to the port on the rad, to the port on top of the WP.

I don't know of any "diagram". But I can tell you, both the rad port and the WP port, are on the cool (WP suction) side of the system.

Hot water comes out of the top of the engine (intake manifold & water outlet), and goes to various places either to get cooled (radiator), or to use the heat to do useful things (heater core, oil warmer, throttle body); then from each of those places, the cooled water collects at one end or the other of the lower rad hose (cool tank of the rad, WP inlet) to get sucked in by the water pump and sent back into the engine to get heated up again.

Thanks for your reply.

That's good info, means I can crack on plumbing it up, and just feed it back to the top of the WP.

Cheers.
