Heater core hose clamp

Ok people. For those who replaced the small heater hose coming out of the fire wall. The aggravating hose shaped like a question mark. I am having an issue getting a clamp on the lower connection. It had a worm clamp on it and I had to cut it off to get the hose off. The hose was old and brittle so I decided to replace it.

I tried to put a tension clamp on there, but due to space issues I had trouble getting the one side to get low enough using needle nose vise grips. I actually have the pliers for tension clamps but it is too long for the limited space. Any words of wisdom getting a worm clamp back on and be able to tighten it? Take another stab at it with the tension clamp?

Thanks to all that have been here before.

Re: Heater core hose clamp
1/4 drive tools with extensions, Ujoints and ratchet are a big help for the worm gear clamp.

For the spring type, if you don't have the tool, you are missing out.
