Trouble removing hose

I am in the middle of replacing the heater core and one of the hoses connecting to it is stuck. Any tricks or useful information on how to get the hose free I am all ears.

Thanks,
corey

Slit it lengthwise with a razor blade where it fits over the hose nipple.

Above all, avoid putting pressure or force on the hose nipple itself; it's just sheet brass, soldered into the heater core directly, and will break off and leak coolant into the passenger compartment if abused too much.

When you go to put them back on just put some type of lubricant on the inside of the hose.

FYI- This should be noted that it works reasonably well with regular replacement, and doesn't help if the hose is never replaced... ya'know, the ones that seem like they are glued into place?

What I meant was in my situation. Original hoses from the heater core seemed like it was glued to the core piping, so cutting a slit on the nipple didn't help.
