Fan size?

I need to replace the electric fan...what's the biggest fan (dimensionally) that will fit a factory radiator?...1986 Trams Am TPI 305.

Why not just replace the radiator fan motor? You can get those pretty cheap

I'm wanting something with a high CFM and low amp draw.

You Could consider LS1 fans but with TPI fan motors. as the LS fans suck juice. But youd need to do a little extra wiring.



But I have seen people shove in I believe up to 16 inch fans

put the correct fan motor with the correct amp load. if you want a bigger fan motor change the alternator around 100 amp spec..high power motor look up the amps higher on the old motor amps. I use a dc amp meter clamp ..

16" yes (on the eng side). I put a Spal unit in using the stock mounting points.
