I have a 84 firebird 6.0 conversion with a Champion 2 core radiator 4th gen duel electric fans. Problem is it overheats at idle if you increase rpm to 1900 it cools back down to 196 degrees in a couple of minutes. The output side of the radiator gets hot but the input side barely gets warm at idle increase the rpm and the temp even out across the radiator. Looking for options i haven't been able to find a high output water pump for th2012 LS3 Camaro.

Sounds like you still have air in the system. Jack the front end up and get a coolant funnel on the radiator and fill it part way then start the engine and squeeze the hoses as it gets warm

I had it jacked up about 18" off the ground an filled it about 3/4 full let the car run and filled it the rest of the way it dropped quite a ways as i filled it. I'm pretty sure its full.

It could be but I wouldn't be so sure. I had my car 2 feet in the air and it took me like 4 times to get all the air out of the system. I got it up to temp let it cycle then shut it down and cool off, rinse and repeat

Do you have a shroud around your fans? Are the fans turning on? I second the air pocket. Are you sure your steam vent is hooked up correctly? No need for anything other than a stock water pump. I'm making 600 plus on a stock unit.

They are dual fans from a 4th gen firebird complete with should sealed to the radiator. First one come on at 185 second 188. This is the 3rd ls swap I've done so steam line is done right. I used this setup on my other swaps with no problems.

Did you fill up the block thru the upper rad hose?? The stat might not be opening

Oh well you'll need to do that for sure. That fluid will actually open up your stat and you'll get all the air out
