Two locations come to mind. One Camaro I had placed the relay on the rad core support low on the passenger side.
My current Camaro has the relays located just to the left side (driver's side) of the brake booster.
There are advantages to both.
And FTR, two fans equals two relays. Or should.

I was thinking of a similar area on the passenger side with the battery on that side and the ECU. I ordered a duel relay that should be in today
Thanks Rich

Re: Duel Fan Relay Location

If 89 Firebird is anything like a 90, pretty sure its on the firewall as described above. There is a bracket there, which holds about 3 relays, had to put my car in storage while old garage got demolished, so I cant check.

Re: Duel Fan Relay Location

Stock should I believe have one at the radiator core support on the passenger side by the air filter housing, and the second fan has the relay close to the firewall on the driver side by the other relays.

if you're installing an all new wiring / system then I'd consider putting it maybe up by the firewall where the stock second relay would be. Easy access / shouldn't get as hot up there.

SPAL dual 12 inch fans
SPAL dual 12 inch fans
BUSS fuse and relay block on driver side strut tower
BUSS fuse and relay block on driver side strut tower

I used a BUSS relay and fuse block. 3 relays control the 2 fans for low and high speed operations. Power supply for the block comes from the pass through distribution block on the firewall.

What brand and model fuse block did you go with?
I'll be revamping most of the engine bay wiring to better incorporate the add ons. Fuel pump, fans, ignition box all could stand for a better grouped distribution.
I've been looking at fuse/relay centres like this:

Although the one above is a little below the standard I'd like to end up with.

I went with a PSI conversion and ls1 ECU along with a Ron Francis dual fan relay kit

Do you have links to (rather than my looking it up) to what you're getting?
As I said, the wiring is a project (which I'm no stranger to as it's my daily job at the moment) and I'm looking to gather any and all ideas for a path forward.

Metri-Pack 280 Sealed MINI®/MICRO® Fuse & Relay Panel - 30 Amp, Partially Bussed

This is what I used. 3 relays for the dual fans (low/high speed wired like the GTO) and 2 for the headlights low/high beam respectively.

What engine and computer are you going with? I am still using the car fuse box of all the care needs and the engine harness for my LS1 came with fuel pump relays to go under the dash

All old school here. No computer. No EFI. But I've added an electric fuel pump, an ignition box, aftermarket gauges (9), dual fans, a 5 volt constant output power supply (for a stand alone MAP sensor to go with the data logger).
The fuse block is packed with plug in Pico connectors as it it is and I'd like to clean that up. Same with the relays. I want to get them off of the firewall and into a central location.
Three of the above accessories are powered by inline fuses right off the battery and it's messy. I'd also like to eliminate the three fusible links coming off the starter and replace them with proper fusing.
A relay/fuse centre is what's needed. That'll neaten things up and also allow me to thin out the factory harness and eliminate some of my extra wiring.
