TPS Problem?!?

I was just scanning my car with Craig Moates software (ver8.X) to check my TPS voltage and notice that with my foot all the way to the floor (WOT) the max % that I get is about 91% and max voltage (I'm trying to do this part by memory so it might not be totally correct) is about 4.2V. This doesn't seem normal to me...should it not go to 100% or at least close? The voltage at idle is .57V ...so that part's normal.

So is this normal (which I doubt) or do I need a new TPS?!?

If you were inside the car, try going under the hood and turning the throttle blades 100%. If it goes higher the 91%, then the cable may be bad, or the carpet is not letting the pedal go down all the way. I noticed on mine that the % only went up to 99%. (Under the hood)

Yup, that was my first thought...So I turned the throttle linkage manually under the hood while watching the screen and I get the same percentage.

Nope, it's normal. You need to adjust the min and max TPS voltages in the Moates software so that it knows what they are. The default max value is obviously too high for what your actual max TPS voltage is.

It's in the setup menu, or something like that. It's one of the choices before you start getting data.
