I Think My ECM is fried
I have a scan tool for my 1992 Camaro RS I was having problems getting the car to start so I ran the scan tool on it usally the first thing i do whenever I have a problem. Well when I tried to pull the codes out nothing happend at all no check engine flashing not even once. PLEASE HELP ME!!

check all connectors in the back of the diagnostic plug. you probably have a loose/bad one. if your ECM was fried it would probably just send a bunch of
codes to the scantool. good luck!!!

The SES light has to come on when you first turn the key to on. With key on engine off, jump terminals A & B of the ALDL. You should get a code 12 minimum. If not, the ecm isn't working but it doesn't mean the ecm is fried. It could be a burned fuse or other silly things but it could also be a bad ecm. Give the ecm a "sniff" test. If it smells burnt, you let the smoke out of it.
