winbin speed density calc problem

I changed the calc from 159 to 173 based on the formula to increase displacement from 5.7 to 6.2 liters. But everytime I leave winbin and come back the value is 40000 plus. What's the deal? All my other changes are just the way I left them. I've tried it on several aujp files and it's the same on all of them. If that number is correct the motor will blow up. What gives?

What ECM? I assume you are changing the BPW? I noticed WinBin has a problem with double byte values.

Example: If you have a DB value of $0052 and change it to $0053, I noticed WinBin will assume you want BOTH bytes $53. Meaning instead of leaving it $0053 it changes it to $5353. BIG difference...

I converted from the 165 to the 730 ecm. You hit the nail on the head, Astro. I was trying to change from $009F to $00AD an winbin kept doubling to $ADAD. It ended up being a bad ecu file. I changed to the 730v.3 and everything works right. Too many buggy ecu files circulating. I think it would be wise for me to jump on the Tunercat bandwagon when I get the dough. Seems winbin is a continuous work in progress.
