Easy way to get a basline?

I just swapped in the Accel system and it seems start and idle fine with the previous owners configuration. At the moment the car is basicly stock... in terms of engine mods and such. Would it be possible to take the values of a stock 305 A4 SD chip and put them into the new system? From there I would be able fine tune the parameters.

If you want a fuel map to start as a base line, you can use the UTILITIES tool in Calmap 6.32. It will prompt you for such variables like peak RPM, peak HP, peak torque, injector size, fuel pressure, etc...
From there Calmap 6.32 will create a fuel map that can get you started. You'll just need to tune it. The UTILITIES tool comes pretty close to what you need and will just need some fine tuning. If you don't have Calmap v6.32, let me know and I'll shoot you a copy.

Hmmm, that's pretty cool. Now if only I could get the calmap to access the ECU I would be in business!!

What speed is your laptop? If Your laptop is faster than a Pentium 166, it won't work. The laptop would be processing faster than the Accel DFI. It will have communication problems. Anything under a P-166 is ideal. Even a 386 laptop works great with the DFI. Remember, when they made the Accel DFI, this was over 10 years ago before CPU speeds were over P-166. Hope this helps.
