Anyone use WinALDL?

FIgured this is as good a spot as any to ask this.
Anyone use WinALDL? I have a 1984 bird, with carberation.

The first time I hooked up the cable from the ALDL to my PC,
I was able to at least pull raw data. Then the cable broke, and I had to make a new one. The new cable has been tested with a fiero V6 and it works fine. However I get NO data from the ALDL on the firebird!

My service engine light flashes in time to changing voltages coming form the D 'or data' pin. The voltages are ranging around 8 to 11.25 volts. I have tried two laptops, and 3 cables..THey all work on the 1987 Fiero but not on the firebird, could I have a short or possibly a bad ECM?

Anyone who can help, please do so.

Thank you

Jurrel
