I hope this is in the right forum.

I have a 99 Vortec 305 out of a Z71 pick up that I am trying to put into my jeep. Many guys on Pirate 4x4 said to come here and ask questions.

I have a 85 CJ7 and it has a Turbo 350 tranny in it with a Dana 300 transfer case.

My goal is to make the engine pretty much stand alone. I want to know who could do this work to the computer cheap, what i could do to do it myself, or any other resources i should check.

I don't care about emissions and if its not needed i don't want the computer to look at it. I don't want to carve up the harness so i just want the computer disabled from looking at input from various components that would have been in the z71 pick up.
