No idea what else to buy

Ok . i just made a purchase of the pocket programmer . I went to the JDR web site , i have no clue what i am looking for when it comes to the chips . I have a 86 maf t/a . What else do i need to burn my own chips . Yeah i know i need chips and the eraser , but i can't find them in those web sites . Is there anything else im going to need . I just read the tech articale , but ..... Im still lost

Head to www.thirdgen.org homepage and choose tech articles. From under electrical choose the PROM burning message from TRAXION. It is a lot of help.

Yeah i had just got done reading that artical , but like i said i went to the sight , and got lost with all the different things i could buy . Not seeing exactly what i needed . So know i have a 150 programmer , and no idea wht to do with . I read and read these threads , but its still clear as mud . I ask for a little help and i m told to do a search . All i am saying is did my homework i just don't understand ... So know i am stuck with a $150 item thats going to sit in its box and collect dust

Don't buy the eraser. I got mine from xtronics, and the door thing broke off, so now you have to jimmy it to get it to work. Get the flash proms and not the ones that need to be erased.

You can get the programmer from www.xtronics.com and the chips and adaptor from www.akmcables.com/ic.htm

People refer you to the tech article because everything you need to know is in there.

I am reading and reading and reading ...... gettin ' nowhere fast . Check out all that crap at tunercat ........which do i need .
