Is the ECM blown?

Here's what happened:

Tried hooking up the ALDL cable.. decided he needed to hook in the power supply (wire from the battery).
Forgot to put the resistor inline.
My alternator no longer charges.

Is the ECM blown from the flow of power?

What else could be wrong now? Or is my alternator being a pain again?

Immediate help would be appreciated.

Bring your alt to autozone or equivalent. They will test it and tell you if its functional, borderline or not functional. Don't know about the ECM.
