wireing and comp opions

I have an 85 camaro z28 I'm currently building a new motor for. Here's the question should I repin the harness to accept 87-89 ecm or should I use my 1990 sd harness and comp?I would like to learn to burn my own chips.
P.S. or should I carb it?

i bet it would be more cost effective to carb it, and you would probably get to enjoy your ride sooner, but if you were to stay w/ efi do what you want, theres folks out there runnig 11teens with MAF cars so i wouldnt just dive into the SD thing either.
