ECM and th700->t5 conversion problem

After T5 conversion I noticed stalling while gear changing 3->2, 2->1. There's also troublecode about park/neutral switch. I made a custom switch on this circuit but it doesn't help switching it manually. Do I need to change ECM or PROM to make it work with manual tranny? It's '88 TPI 5.0

Typically can get away without changing the MEMCAL on an auto to stick swap. In your case it seems like it would be best to get the proper MEMCAL or burn the correct PROM.

On a stick the pk/neut line is left open. On a scan tool this will show up as being in drive. Getting an error code on it sounds strange. The VSS operational?

Had a thought, check the IAC for proper operation. A sticking or non-operational IAC would cause stalling.
