Need Help with compter! Engine Swap.

I have a quick question that someone can help me with. I have a 4 bolt main 350 that im building into a 383 with eagles rotating stroker kit for jegs. I am going with the holley stelath ram, AFR heads and a custom grind cam along with a whole bunch of other goodies! Which I will post pics of progress when I get the car in the garage. (may be awhile though need money.)
I was wondering since I want to keep the fuel injection setup what type of computer should I be running. My car has a 91 305 computer in it. (my car is a 91 z28) should I get a computer from a 91 350 and get it reprogrammed, or can I reprogram the 305's and save money on getting one fro ma 350?

Thanks,

Sean

Well, I'll bet the original 305 was a TPI setup (LB9). If so then you can just reprogram that ECM (computor). There is an EPROM on the MEMCAL that can be erased and reprogrammed. Or you can socket the MEMCAL or get an adaptor for the MEMCAL that has a separate socket for the EPROM. That way it is easier to change the EPROM for another as you do your tuning.

If the 305 was originally a TBI (LO3) then a different ECM is required.

RBob.
