Accel Gen 7 Tuning
I would first like to thank Noah at Accel for the greatest service I have ever recieved from a large company, my hats off to you on my warranty issue.
Now that my service issues are all resolved I need to finally tune this thing. Here is what I am working with.. 415 ci SBC, stock plenum, base, runner and TB. 32 lb injectors, Dual sync dizzy, wideband o2, 277/282 .535/.551 hydraulic roller cam. about 9.8:1 compression with Brodix Track 1 alum heads.
This thing has pinged from day one, even with a smaller cam, iron head, less compression ect.. well I finally realized with the wideband that I am way lean and am working to correct it.
In order to eliminate some variables I set the timing to 35 degrees all the time, going more or less really didn't affect the ping in the past.
I have been logging some runs and have mapped areas where I was pinging and found the A/F ratio to be in the mid 16's. Well to my suprise by the time I got my VE table close my factors were in the 1.15-1.25 range at WOT from 3200 up, I guess what I am really trying to figure out is how should this VE map look, I am shooting for a A/F ratio of about 12.8 at full load and 13.4 at moderate loads and 13.9 at cruise, to get these numbers my VE is way away from what I expected.
I would really like to see a screen shot of the VE table on a similar setup or any setup and a A/F table. Heck a Globale Cali file would also be great.
Sorry for being to long winded but I am ready to get this thing nailed down.
Thanks!
