Flashing Computer

I have a 1991 Camaro Z28 with a L98 350 motor and was wondering if I have to flash the computer to change the chip from a Auto to Manual once I do the T56 swap next spring. If anybody could explain to me in full (I am anewbie to the world of ECM's) what has to be done I would appreciate this. Sorry if you have seen a post similar to this by me in another section.

Flashing is an OBDII, thing, ie started in 1996.

Drop down to the DIY PROM Board and start reading the stickies.

If everything is stock, and you're happy with the stock type programming, then just swapping out the *chip* will be all you need to do.
