ecm dead?
Im finsishing up installing a new motor in my car and I am having a few problems. The car wont start. starter turns motor, theres spark and fuel preasure. Pulled a spark plug to see if there was any gas on it nothing. I sprayed some starting fluid into the plenum and the engine sputtered a little then stopped. Had a friend that has put a distributor in a few times come over and install the distrubtor. Tried jumping the pins for the computer to see what would happen and it didnt flash back anything, so im thinking its computer related. where would the ground wires in the engine bay be located? Also pulled off one of the injector plugs and put a multimeter to it and got nothing there. How do I test if the ecm is not grounded or bad? Any help would be great. This thing is driving me cazy.

well on My car all the Wiring Harness grounds Go the The Back of the Drivers side Head. Also make sure that the Power Connector For the ECm and Fuse are Ok. It is located by the Battery. Well At least on mine it is.

Well originally i didnt have those grounds hooked up just had them clipped onto something. I hooked them up today, one was a all balck wire and then there was antoher that had two wires one was black and one was tanish I think. Also tried a new computer and still no luck. How many grounds are there soppused to be back there. So far i found the 2 on the passanger side and one black one on the drivers side. I also have a ground cable from the drivers side head to the frame of the car. What color wire is the power ffor the ecm? dont see a fuse near the battery tray. My battery has also been moved to the rear of the car.
